David Rad, DMD, MS, is a highly attentive orthodontist that gives his patients a superior level of care at Rad Orthodontics, with locations in College Park, Potomac, and Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. David attended Boston University in Massachusetts for his undergraduate degree, graduating with honors in economics. He then went to Boston University School of Dental Medicine in Massachusetts, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine magna cum laude. He was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for excellence in academic achievement, and he also received a certificate of excellence from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology for his outstanding academic achievements in the field of oral pathology.
Dr. David obtained a Master of Science in orthopedics and a certificate of advanced graduate study in dentofacial orthopedics from Boston University Dental School in Massachusetts. Notably, he served as chief resident during his clinical residency and also performed extensive research in bone biology and metabolism during his postgraduate training.

In 2012, Dr. David and his brother, Dr. Mehdy, were recognized as Super Elite Invisalign® Providers, which placed them in the top 1% of Invisalign® providers in the world. Dr. David also lectures locally about Invisalign® and other advances in orthodontic treatment. He enjoys staying at the forefront of dental progress to offer the highest level of care to his patients.
Dr. David is highly active in local dental groups and study clubs. He also maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, Maryland State Society of Orthodontics, and Southern Maryland Dental Society.
Outside the Office
When he’s not in the office, Dr. David enjoys spending time with family and friends. He’s an avid runner and enjoys playing tennis, squash, and soccer and anything on the water, including fishing, paddle boarding, and wakeboarding.
